2020 Girls Summer Skills Program

Open to any female player in Grades 3-6

(Does not need to be EVHA participant)

 

Logistics

Location: ​Hayes Arena in Apple Valley

Dates: ​June 17, 24, July 1,15, 22, August 5,12

Ice Time: 1​:45-2:45

Additional On-ice instructors will be players from Eastview High School

 

Program Focus

The summer program is designed for players to work on and improve individual skills. Players will work on skills that are outlined in the American Development Model (ADM) of USA Hockey skills development program.

 

On-Ice Skills Development

Skating Development - Stride Development - Edge Work

Cornering Puck control with head up - Shooting with head up - Puck protection

Dekes - Passing - Shooting in stride - Small area games - Movement without the puck

 

Fees

Program Fee: $115

Registration due by April 20, 2020.
N​o refunds after June 1st, 2020.


POWER SKATE W/ MARGARET ANN ERWIN

Margaret Ann Erwin has been teaching hockey power skating for over 20 years.  She has taught in many locations across the country as she is a military wife.  She was a power skating instructor at Bruce Boudreau's Golden Horseshoe hockey school in St. Catherine's Ontario, Canada, and here in Minnesota as a skating instructor with the Eden Prairie Hockey Association and Eastview Hockey Association, as well as privately to students from High School Varsity to the mite level.

Times:

  • 8:15 – 9:15a        Group 1
  • 9:30 – 10:30a      Group 2
  • 10:45 -  11:45a    Group 3 

Dates:

  • June 15
  • June 22
  • June 29
  • July  13
  • July 20
  • July 27

Cost: $125per skater 

You will be provided the opportunity to chose which group you prefer, however final groupings will be adjusted to to maximize the camp's ability to provide the best experience possible for the skaters.

Please note: this camp is for players who will be in the traveling program (10U/Squirt, 12U/Peewee, 15U/Bantam) in the 2020-2021 season.
