Boys Programs

This summer we're excited to be able to offer a Youth Summer Training Program that aligns with our High School STP where we will have high-level instructors creating a fun and challenging environment for all players.

This program will run for 10 weeks, 20 hours of ice at Hayes Arena

10 Week - On-ice Instruction Includes:

  • High-tempo drills/stations to maximize players' experience and development
  • Multiple reps to ensure all players are receiving quality instruction
  • Skating - edges, technique, balance, under-speed, Overspeed, and transitions
  • Shooting and stickhandling
  • Effective play without the puck
  • Angling and Proper Body Contact Techniques
  • Competition and Fun
  • Goaltending Specific Coaching

  • STP Program Director: Aaron Fulton - Eastview Boys Hockey Head Coach
  • On-Ice Program Director: Tyson Fulton - Skill Development Coach
Tyson grew up in Brooklyn Park and went to Breck high school and played varsity for four years. He had the experience of winning two state titles in 2009 & 2010. Went on to play for the Waterloo Blackhawks for one year in the USHL and then on to Union College (Division I) in New York. After two seasons out there he decided to transfer back home where he went on to finish his hockey career for three years at Saint John's University. He started coaching as soon as he was done playing with his brother Aaron at Centennial Bantam AA for the next 4 years. He's currently a Hockey Instructor/Mentor at Breakaway Academy and has been in this role for the last three years, also has been the Head Instructor at East Hockey, a new skill development company where he works with high-end HS and college players. He is currently the Head Coach for the U14 Minnesota Blades. Prior to this, he has an extensive background and experience in skill development coaching with highly respected coaches such as Joe Dziedcik, Sjon Podein, Cory Laylin, Jordan Leopold, and others.

He specializes in individual skill work and differentiates himself with modern training and philosophies. His goal is to design a program specifically around the needs of each individual player to give them the best opportunity based on skills/abilities and identity as a player. He will focus on skating/edge work, puck/stick skills, and hockey IQ at top speed. He will push players to perform at a level outside their comfort zone so when it's time to perform in a game-like situation it comes very naturally and easily to them. Tyson's training is designed to meet the needs of all players.

Off-Ice Training:

We will also be running an optional separate off-ice component at our new dryland facility and that will run two days a week as well, more information to come on that but that will include 30 minutes of agility/bodyweight training and 30 minutes of shooting and stickhandling and we have instructors running both of those areas during the sessions.
