While our Charitable Gambling Committee has driven significant financial windfalls to reduce the total cost of hockey for our families, we did want to be transparent about two separate sites that support our association.
For different reasons, Poor Richards (where we held our Raffle Night) and Green Mill in Eagan have closed.
This presents a sizable reduction in profitable income in the short term. Our financial health remains strong, and there will not be an impact to operations for the remainder of the 2019-2020 season.
The Charitable Gambling Committee is actively working with potential operators of new establishments for those existing locations, as well as additional locations that are interested in potentially partnering with EVHA for Charitable Gambling. The committee is working tirelessly to ensure that our financial health remains strong into the coming season to minimize the impacts to the cost of hockey to families. We will share a progress update in after our May Board Meeting.
