Gambling Update

Posted 3/17/2020:  As we are experiencing changes each day to help flatten the curve of the spread of COVID-19, we wanted to inform you that our pull tab locations have been impacted due to the closure of restaurants and bars.  As of today, our locations will remain closed through March 27th.  We will let you know if and when we learn that these locations have reopened or if there is an extended closure.

Our Gambling Committee is working hard to ensure we are following state-provided guidelines and will be communicating directly with our operations staff on what to expect as we work through these unprecedented times.

We also want to be transparent regarding the potential impact this may have on hockey costs next season.  As you may know, EVHA's season fee's are discounted based on expected gambling net proceeds. To better predict our income after our locations start operating, we may need to delay and shorten the registration period to allow time to better predict revenue that can offset fees.

When we open next season’s registration, we will calculate the fees based on the available data.  In addition, we are reviewing our payment procedures to ensure we are able to capitalize on increases in revenue as we see normalization in gaming.

Thank you for your understanding and stay well!

General Update

Posted 3/14/2020:  Like many local organizations Eastview Hockey Association is monitoring recommendations from the Minnesota Department of Health, as well as City of Apple Valley, District 196, and Eastview Athletic Association regarding COVID-19.

While our organization is lucky in that our activities have wrapped up for the 2019-2020 season, we want to make sure everyone is doing their part to prepare and prevent the spread of this disease.  The EVHA Board will continue to monitor the situation and communicate updates to future scheduled events as applicable.
