Mite Free Equipment Program

First year players entering Eastview Hockey in the Mite program are provided with a free set of equipment, making it easier to give the fastest team sport in the world a try.  The equipment is theirs to keep until they outgrow it, at which time it is returned to the association for the next new player.

Equipment provided includes:

Helmet with face shield

Shoulder pads

Elbow pads

Hockey Gloves

Breezers (hockey pants which protect thighs and tailbone)

Shin Pads

Equipment Bag - to carry it around in and for storage.

A jersey and hockey socks (worn over the shin pads) are also provided each year in Mites and do not have to be returned.

What else is needed to play?  Skates, a stick, mouthguard, neck guard, protective cup and garter belt (used to hold up the hockey socks).

The equipment supplied by Eastview Association for first year mites will be provided by Westwood Sports in Apple Valley.  You will receive an equipment voucher right after registration.  You will need to bring your equipment voucher to Westwood sports where your child will be measured for the proper size and fit.  In most cases, you will be able to receive your equipment the same day that you are fitted.
