2011-2012 Mite Equipment Program

“New” Mite Equipment Checklist

EVHA will provide first year mites with the following equipment at no cost.  This equipment is yours to keep.

EVHA will provide:

Helmet with cage

Shin pads

Elbow pads

Shoulder pads

Breezers

Hockey gloves

Hockey bag

Hockey socks

Jersey

Parents need to provide:

Skates

Hockey stick (and tape)

Colored mouth guard (with strap)

Protective cup

Garter or hockey jock shorts

Notes:

• First year mite players will receive an equipment voucher after registration. You will need to take your equipment voucher to Westwood Sports in Apple Valley where your child will be properly fitted for the equipment provided by Eastview Hockey Association.

• Jerseys will arrive in mid-November once skaters have been placed on teams. Until that time, a large sweatshirt, long sleeve t-shirt, or any type of loose fitting jersey can be worn. We will also have some extra jerseys available to borrow at the clinic and evaluations.

• The first time that new skaters put on all of their new equipment it will take about 30 minutes so please allocate enough preparation time before practice starts.  Most parents choose to dress their children at home prior to arriving at the arena.
