Coaches –

We are currently taking applications for all levels of REV Coaches. If you would like to apply to be a coach, please apply through your own respective Eastview or Rosemount hockey association.  Interviews for all prospective coaches will be scheduled during the preseason Clinics.

Please also be aware that the requirements for being a coach have changed based on USA Hockey changes.  Details of coaching requirements can be found at either the EVHA web site (http://www.eastviewhockey.net/coachmain.html) or the USA Hockey web site (http://www.usahockey.com/Template_Usahockey.aspx?NAV=CO_02&ID=19532).  The primary change is that coaches must have baseline certification, age-appropriate certification, and must complete an online class EVERY year to maintain valid coaching certification.  Interviews for all prospective coaches will be scheduled during the preseason Clinics.

Friend requests for U10B players only – if two friends request to play on the same team as each other, we will do our best to accommodate.  We should receive an email to revgirlshockey@yahoo.com from both requesting each other.  You can only request one friend, and they must request you.

U10/U12Clinics - We are again offering pre-season clinics at Rosemount Civic Center (RCC).  Clinics will be held on the dates defined in the following table.  Herb Harvey (Eastview Girls Varsity Coach), Trent Eigner (Rosemount Girls Varsity Coach), or Troy Stevens (Pro Edge Power Skating) will be the lead instructors.

U14 Clinics will be run by Coach Harvey and Coach Eigner. Any girl that is U14 age and has not played high school in the past can attend. Additional details about registering will be available soon.  The times and locations are listed below.

Sat, October 8 7:45am at Eagan West  

Sun, October 9 5:50pm at Inver Grove East Rink

Thurs, October 13 5:45pm at Hayes

Tues, October 18 8:45pm at Eagan East

Sat, October 29 7:45am at Eagan West

Sunday, October 30 at 430pm at Hayes

Parent Meetings for U10 & U12 parents will be held on Saturday, September 24 during the clinics for each level. U10 parent meeting will begin at 12:15; U12 parent meeting will begin at 1:30pm.  Important information about the upcoming season will be presented. 

Apparel.  We are anticipating that REV apparel samples and order forms will be available during the September 10 clinics. Additional information to follow. 

Tryouts – The following table lists the tryout dates for U10 and U12 players. Tryout sessions are at HAYES Arena.  To assist in a fair tryout process, please have players wear black, white, or old REV socks.  Tryout jerseys and/or pinnies will be provided to all players for use during the tryouts.

U10B and U12B evaluation- There will be a U10B and U12B evaluation on Tuesday, 10/11 at 5:45pm.   It is a requirement for any U10 or U12 girls that did not participate in tryouts.  It is helpful in creating fair and balanced teams. 

Team Managers – All teams need (and appreciate) volunteer managers.  Managers are as much a part of the team as coaches, and are vitally important to the success of any REV team.  Please consider being a team manager.   This year, we would like each team to have a Rosemount and an Eastview team manager, in order to help manage the unique tasks required of each association.  If interested, send an email to revgirlshockey@yahoo.com.

Player Development - We are continuing to investigate and explore Dryland Training options and General Player Development.  This year, Zach Sikich will be running goalie development programs on Sundays at RCC.
